So says George F. Will in Newsweek.  This is one of the reasons that, though I won’t be voting for Obama, I don’t buy the “he’s really, really left” meme.

Just for the record, I usually go into little fits of convulsions whenever I watch a Democratic debate and hear them start debating the extent to which their government-sponsored, taxpayer-funded programs should be mandated.

Of course, the Republicans aren’t any different these days.  I wonder if we’ll ever get back to the days when the people empowered the government, rather than listening to the government talk about who’s going to do the most to empower us.
