paleo-orthodoxy

This page is an attempted gathering of links that relate to the central themes of Paleo-orthodoxy. The links may not reference paleo-orthodoxy per se, but they are either consistent with the themes of the unity and revitalization of Christianity through ancient, ecumenical consensus, or they are sites that contribute to the study of church history. This list will grow over time.

Thanks for this list. I like paleo-orthodoxy quite a bit.

I noticed you linked to Mike Aquilina’s excellent site. Mike is a friend of mine and very knowledgeable. I recommend all his books. You may want to check out his Grail Code for Christian insight into Arthurian legend.

I came across a Fr.Jack Ashcraft who is also a proponent of Paleo-Orthodoxy. You can see his website here:

Ashcraft looks like a crackpot to me. There’s no such thing as the Byzantine Orthodox Catholic church. And he links to Alex Jones. ‘Nuff said.

umm..actually there is such as thing. I’ve been to their liturgies like six or seven times over the past 5 years. They’re Eastern Catholics who maintain Orthodox traditions. He’s Byzantine Rite, thus he is refered to as a Byzantine Orthodox Catholic. Anyway..your opinion hardly matters, Its just given for info to people who are interested.

OK, he’s a Byzantine Catholic, or you can say a Byzantine-rite Catholic. Throwing the word Orthodox in there is meaningless. The site “feels” phony. The guy has a post on June 8 where he refers to Pope John Paul II as a “notorious Modernist”. An undignified remark for a Catholic Priest to make.

Not when you take into account he’s a sedevacantist.

So as I said. He’s not Catholic. Or Orthodox. Just playing church like so many others.

I don’t think Rome agrees with you. They recognize their orders as completely valid. As a matter of fact I know Fr.Ashcrafts are since I went to a local bishop and asked. Fr.gave me the lines of succession of his ordaining bishop for me to check out because he doesn’t hide anything. So while you can make your infallible pronouncements the Vatican disagrees. Nice try though. And I’ll point out that the sedevacantist movement has better theological seminary training than the garbage coming out of the Novie seminaries. lol
