I read the first three of them over the summer and really enjoyed them. I fell in love with the setting, lots of islands centered around a larger central island, almost immediately. I thought the first book was phenomenal. The second book was interesting, but it seemed a little too incoherent. I simply couldn't accept that the priestess would have turned her back on everything like that so quickly, especially with such "modern" reasoning. The third book has lots of great material in it; I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on that book in particular and the series in general. What did you think of the first two Earthsea books?
