More substantively, it would make a certain sort of sense. It wouldn’t alienate his base like picking him for VP while still giving him an opportunity to put his buddy in a position of power. And considerably more power than VP. Well, except for our current VP. The good news, I suppose, is that if McCain/Palin is elected the power of the VP will move toward pre-Bush levels.
I was thinking the same thing about Palin and VP power.
